Businiess name:  The Acorn Restaurant

Review content:
My family was celebrating my nephew's graduation and my sister-in-law made reservations for us at the Acorn. I was excited to experience one of Nashville's restaurants it being my first visit to this beautiful city. I'm sure I'll return to Nashville but not to the Acorn. The staff was very polite and helpful but the restaurant seemed very run down. The elevator which carried my Mother-in-law upsides to the patio broke down with her in it. The fan located over our table was broken. It was a very warm evening and a fan would have been very nice. The little lights over our section of the patio were also broken. Now onto the food, it was awful. I ordered the lamb which was overcooked and dry, and the potatoes had the consistency and taste of reconstituted potatoes flakes. The rest of us had similar issues with the food. Over cooked, tasteless, tough, cold etc. We did have children with us and there was no child menu, which was not the Acorn's fault but they provided penne pasta w/butter and cheese for $9 a plate. Little pricey for boxed pasta. It was a sticky situation, if it had not been a celebration with 15 people I would have sent my food back or just paid for my drink and left. Overall we dropped over $500 for dinner and I must say if we had been in Atlanta we could have had an incredible dinner at ""Bones"" or ""Chops"" and still had money left over for a ""Frosty Orange"" at the Varsity. Pros: The staff were very friendly> Cons: The building was run down and the food was awful.
