Warning! Bonfe misrepresents their capabilities, tries to up-sell, and doesn?t get the job done. We called Bonfe and asked them if they serviced Bosch dishwashers. The service representative said they were trained to service Bosch and they would send their appliance expert. He came and looked at the dishwasher (without taking it out from the counter), looked where it was leaking thru the floor in the basement, and pronounced that a plumber would have to come out. He told us that he was an aeronautical engineer and showed her a plane that he worked on. Seemed like he knew more about planes than dishwashers. The next day a plumber came and looked under the dishwasher, looked at the leak in the basement, and proclaimed that the plastic housing surrounding the dishwasher was cracked. This was surprising as he hadn?t taken the DW out to verify that was the problem. Instead, he started quoting numbers to replace the DW, tried to sell us an annual maintenance plan, and while he was at it he gave us quotes to replace the water heater. All of the items he quoted were at least $500 and he wanted $3000 for the water heater. We declined to go forward with any work or any of the offers as the whole process didn?t seem right. We called Bosch Service and asked if Bonfe was trained to service Bosch. They told us that Bonfe is not an authorized service representative for Bosch. We asked if Bosch dishwashers have problems with cracked plastic housings ? they replied that they don?t have plastic housings. They gave us the name of an authorized service representative and they came out. After pulling the dishwasher out, it was determined that the drain line was damaged and needed to be replaced (about a $100 repair). We called Bonfe and Steve the Service Manager said that Bonfe had failed us and agreed to return our money. But he couldn?t do anything for the time that we wasted waiting for and dealing with their two people who do didn?t anything to solve our leak. In summary, if you want to waste your time and be up-sold, call Bonfe. If not, there are many other reputable companies who will do the job right and not try to sell you overpriced services.
