I saw the ""signs"" along the way: the childcare licensing evaluator/agent had nothing good to report about the daycare, the preschool teacher yakking away on her cell phone with her back turned to the kids running/playing in the room when I dropped off my girl, childcare being provided by aides and not teachers, Spanish being exchanged when the staff thought we shouldn't hear the subject, Maggie (infant room) always seeming to complain about her job, aides shifting locations when I entered the premises (to cover any short staffing), aides fearing to talk openly about their experiences there (esp. within earshot of the teachers), them cancelling the Christmas program without any notice to parents who left work early and drove distances for it, the gate to the building being locked before closing time and my child still inside, their number calling me as ""Blocked ID"" (why would they block the ID?), etc., etc. We should have heeded the warnings before it was too late... Pros: I'm still thinking... Cons: want aides caring for your kids? how about 15 kids to one teacher? Lies. Violations.
