I was impressed. I have had 5 houses built over my life. I have been thru 5 builders. They were some of the most recognizable names of Porter and Lake County. To say I am picky would be an understatement. I look at all the little things and spent alot of time studying the framing and ""behind the drywall"" components of a Bucher Home. Noone builds like these guys anymore except one other builder in Valpo (Schneider Builders). I would encourage anyone interested in building to do your homework and can promise you that in going with Bucher you will not be disappointed. They were so accomadating to my (sometimes demanding and challenging) requests. If you understand what you are buying, you can not beat the Buchers quality and pricing. As I mentioned earlier, I have built with 5 builders 5 different homes.......I am sure I will build a 6th home as my life changes, but it will be again with that 5th builder, Bucher.
