Review content:
My daughter, myself and her mother in law to be, along with 2 of the 6 bridesmaids went to look at wedding gowns. my daughter found a dress on the rack and her eyes lit up and she said ""this is the dress"" when she put the dress on she looked beautiful almost like the princess that she is( to me and her father anyway). Well we decided to order the dress and proceded to order the dress and I put 60% down on the dress in good faith thinking that the measurements were right( I am no seamstress and do not sew or even know how to measure for a dress or anything). Well when they ordered the dress they ordered a size 6. my daughter has never been a size 6 and wears a size 9. She took her bridesmaids to another store to look for dresses and asked the salesperson at the other salon about the size difference in her dress because when she measured my neice for a bridesmaid dress she ordered her a size 4 and she wears a size 00. the salesperson told her to go back to the bridal store and get measured again. Well this time we met the owner (linda), what a piece of work, I can't believe this woman stays in business the way she treats people. We told her of our concern that the dress was ordered too small and could she re-measure my daughter, well when she did the measurements were different than before and she said my daughter gained 2 inches around her waist in less that 2 months. my daughter had lost about 12 lbs in the meantime. I asked for my money back at that time and she refused. Linda was so rude and nasty with us and told us the dress was not even a wedding dress that it was a debutante dress. She asked us to wait until the dress came in and go from there. She would order another dress if the first one didn't fit. I said ""no"" if the dress doesn't fit when it comes in I want my money back. I said why not just give me the money back since she would be stuck with the dress that didn't fit and stated she could ""put the dress that didn't fit on the rack and sell it to a debutante because debutants love this dress"". I agreed to wait until the dress came in because we really didn't know for sure that it wouldn't fit. Low and behold the dress came in 6 days after linda said it would and we went immediately to try on the dress. it was so small it couldn't even be zipped up the back the whole way. I requested my money back. Linda had someone else measure my daughter again and this time the measurements were the same as the first time and the woman stated my daughter was a perfect size 6. I don't think so because the dress didn't fit. Linda took the dress in the back (where we were not allowed) and stated she measured the dress and the manufacturer did not make a size 6. linda stated she called the company and told them and they were going to send another dress(in a size 6). I stood my ground and said I did not want another dress I wanted my money back. I was told to leave the store or she would have me escorted out by the police and I was not getting my money back. I told her go ahead and call the police because I wasn't leaving until I got my money back. Police arrived and tried to get my money back for me but Linda refused. The police officer told me to go to the magistrate to continue with this. To the magistrates office the very next day and am now awaiting our day in court. will continue this review once the court appearance is over with. I hope we win and if not well at least we gave it our best shot. please do not partronize this establishment. Go somewhere else. This woman is such a difficult person to deal with. The saleswoman we dealt with is no longer there and every time I have been in there, there are different people working there so I wonder what her employee turnover is like. sorry this is such a long review, but I wanted everyone to know what type of experience we had here and I don't want anyone else to be as upset as my daughter is. This is supposed to be a very memorable day.
