If you're patient, it's worth the wait standing outside. My first couple of visits to Casa Vega we put our name down for a table and we were allowed right in to wait for the bar. The last time we weren't so lucky. We waited for about 45 minutes outside and we were finally let in for the last 15 minutes of our wait. We couldn't get angry about it. I'd rather stay outside than get jostled by waiters with burning hot plates.
Those margaritas are tremendous and the food trails behind but still tastes great (especially after your 2nd margarita!). Service is top-notch and what I appreciate most is the unrushed feeling. Certainly makes up for the long wait outside.
