""Pricing is on the high side here, but the food is soooo good! As a fan of Jeff Lewis, we had to go check it out since we were passing through town. We arrived before the dinner rush and didn't want to pay for valet parking, so we parked along the adjacent street where there was plenty of on-street parking. We were placed in a corner booth facing out, and were seated immediately. The ambiance is very dark at Casa Vega, which I found odd since the decor is also pretty dark. Just makes for a really dark experience! Anyhow, we ordered the vegetarian Mexican pizza and a mango margarita, and split both. I've had a LOT of Mexican pizzas, and can honestly say that this was among the best! The soy sausage product they used tasted so good! We probably wouldn't return for a full meal just because it's a bit pricey, and if I'm going to spend $50 for two of us, I'd rather opt for Asian food of some sort. However, we would definitely return again (if we were passing through again) to order something minimal. It's just worth checking out the door that Jeff brought in, and snapping a photo of the remodeled foyer, while appreciating the old Hollywood feel of the place. Nice time!""
