Review content:
I go to Dr. Maclaren for Type 1 diabetes. He is a great doctor when you are in appointments with him. He personally checks all of your vitals and other signs of autoimmune and endocrine disorders, and he is very caring and explanatory when speaking to me about my condition. I don't have to wait very long in the waiting room to enter my appointments.
I agree with previous reviews that he does not follow up at all. In my opinion, a good doctor should call you when you have had tests done to diagnose a potential problem regardless of whether or not the tests were good or bad. I have had a number of tests done, and I always have to call and have the results sent to me. Sometimes I have to call 3 or more times to get the results because the secretaries ""forgot"" to send it to me. Sometimes I don't even get ahold of the actual office, and the person who does answer has to fax them my message, which they obviously don't take action to send me what I need.
If you read these reviews, Dr. Maclaren, you should seriously consider having your secretaries ACTIVELY send people their test results the moment you get them. Even if you don't call the patient personally, they will have some sense that you are following up on them, even if there is no real concern in the test results.
