Review content:
I was a thyroid patient of another doctor in this practice, who was planning to leave.
But though she was leaving, she said I could see her one last time at BioSeek, and that I could decide then whether to continue with BioSeek or follow her to her new practice.
I was pleased with this doctor, and I thought everything was fine for this appointment, which was scheduled for early on a Monday morning.
But late on the Friday before, I got a call saying my appointment for Monday was canceled since my doctor had already left the practice, and that I could reschedule with Dr. MacLaren.
So I tracked down the doctor I was originally to see. She was very apolgetic, and said she'd been barred from notifying her patients that she was being forced to leave the practice earlier than she'd planned.
That Dr. MacLaren or whoever runs this office would put some kind of dispute with another doctor over the wishes or needs of patients speaks very badly of this practice.
I'm being treated for what turned out to be thyroid cancer, which is difficult and annoying enough without having to tolerate this sort of stupidity. I'd avoid Bioseek and Dr. MacLaren. I'm even wondering if I should complain to the state licensing authorities about how this was handled.
Cons: Canceled appointment in business dispute with another doctor
