Nan recently cared for my two big dogs while I was out of the country. I had to be gone for two weeks and was looking for better care for my dogs than I feel they receive whenever I board them. I have used pet sitters in the past but always felt a little uncomfortable having strangers in my home. Nan is a completely different story. She has lived in Austin since she was a kid. She works as a vet tech and has a solid track record of caring for animals. She is an established professional. It is obvious when you meet Nan that caring for animals is her passion...not just an odd job she does to pay the bills. Nan visited my home 2-3 times each day and made sure the dogs were fed/watered and left either inside or out depending on the temperature. With these hot summer days I really needed a pet sitter who could be flexible and come when needed to give the dogs some relief from the heat. She did just that. I had casually asked Nan to water our orange tree as well. She later told me that she wasn't sure how to care for citrus trees so had gone online and researched it. Whatever research she did has paid off...my tree looks amazing! She also left me a daily journal which was a very enjoyable read upon my arrival back home. I was so impressed with the level of care she provided for my dogs that I think our boarding days are over. I could not be happier with the service I received and highly recommend Nan.
