Albuquerque Moving and Storage Co didn't move us, they ""mugged"" us. The sales person hit us over the head with a promising proposal and a price to close the deal. Once our household was loaded on their truck the rep blew us off. Extensive delay of delivery with little help or follow up from the coordinator at Albuquerque Moving and Storage. Albuquerque Moving and Storage warehouse employees carelessly handled and packed our items when they left storage. Many items were damaged beyond repair. The leg of a cast iron outdoor chair was completely broken off. A high boy dresser valued at $3,000 has a leg that is bent and wobbly now. Center leg on dresser completely broken off. Washing machine knob broken off, dryer lint cover missing....30+ unboxed items damaged. Carrier packed boxes arrived open. Carrier packed boxes arrived with the sides crushed and torn open. This company claims to have been around since the 40s, I'm amazed the company is still in business unless they have some other side operation funding them...their moving management capabilities are deplorable. Once ""the sale"" was made our rep was unresponsive and unhelpful. We felt as if we were swindled by street thugs. Hire Albuquerque Moving and Storage at your own risk. I only wish I had read all these negative reviews before we hired them. If they give you a low ball estimate...believe me you get what you pay for. The move with Albuquerque Moving and Storage will be much more costly than going with one of the more expensive estimates we received. By far the worst purchase our family has ever made.
