Review content:
My husband and I hired Presidential Pools & Spas to put in our pool earlier this year, based on the fact that they've been doing business in the Valley for so long. We have never built a pool before, so we had no other means of choosing a company. Unfortunately, what we found is that since the pool industry isn't reliant on repeat business, they simply don't place any importance on keeping their customers happy. The construction itself was a constant comedy of errors, mostly due to the MANY people involved with the job failing to communicate with each other. Honestly, we would have been better served to act as our own general contractor. Their subs were great (for the most part), but the office communication (or lack thereof) was horrendous. And due to this lack of communication, we had the wrong color tile and stone put up, among many other mishaps throughout the process. To list them all would make this review ridiculously long. It took 5 months to finish our pool, when our salesman originally promised that it would be a 5 or 6 week job. Lesson #1 - never believe anything their sales people tell you. It has now been 30 days since the pool was finished, and we are having some issues with the deck - the travertine pavers are coming loose and sinking in places - and although we've put in several e-mails and phone calls to the POE (Presidential Outdoor Environment) people, we haven't received any response, nor has anybody come out to address these issues. I suppose Lesson #2 is once you've paid them in full, don't expect ANY level of customer service or follow up after that point. I wrote a letter last week to Presidential top management, hoping that would help to get some of our outstanding issues taken care of, as well as to help them better educate and train their staff, but to date we've heard nothing - except for a one line ""thank you for your letter"" e-mail. Our experience with Presidential has been very disappointing, to say the least, and we would like to warn other people about what we went through, so that they can look into using other pool companies for their project instead. I know that if I had had any idea, we certainly would have used somebody else. We are happy to finally have our pool finished, but boy was it a painful process. At this point, we wish that Presidential would just make the remaining items right, so that we could all move on.
