Review content:
My wife and I visited the Painted Lady for the first time for our wedding anniversary the day before New Year's. We had the full fixed menu with the wine suggestions. We could not have been more pleased. The courses were promptly served with enough time in between to really savour the food. The wine was perfectly matched and not too much and not too little. The server was very experienced and was happy to share his view on the wine being served and had interesting experiences to share about the vineyards. The courses were heated properly and obviously served immediately. The entire evening was gracious and memorable. We can't wait to get back up to Portland and visit Newburg. This restaurant compares most favorably with the best two restaurants we have here in Ashland.
Pros: Service, choice of wines, preparation of courses, overall top notch
