Review content:
My TV needed repair, and looking online I saw what the problem likely was. People were saying that their repairs cost $300-400. One guy had to wait months (with his TV at the shop!) for Samsung to ship the part.
Preparing for the worst, I emailed a few people asking if they could do the fix, and how much it would cost. Jim Ackley responded quickly with a phone call, confirming it was the problem that I thought. He gave me a very reasonable estimate ($205) and we set up a time.
He arrived at my house on time, and was very friendly. He fixed the TV and charged me exactly what he estimated--no surprise fees! The convenience of having it fixed quickly, and in my home (no dragging around a TV) was great!
On his way out the door I asked him for an estimate on how to fix my dad's TV, and instead of giving me an estimate, he gave me some tips on things to try for free!
Pros: Cheaper than the competition, done in your home, friendly!
