We?ve had enough of this staycation stuff, we just had to pack up and get out of town. So my husband and I decided to take our two kids to Texas in our version of the Griswald?s Family Vacation. One of our stops was at the lovely Ambassador Hotel located in Amarillo. We couldn?t have been happier with our stay. Being a little road tired we checked in and let the kids swim in their great indoor pool. We loved that the hotel had a TGI Friday?s, it was just right for this family of four. After dinner, the kids took another dip in the pool. The front desk staff took great care of us, and offered suggestions for area activities that our kiddos would enjoy. The breakfast buffet is outstanding and they have the best cooked-to-order pancakes! The rooms are very comfortable, exceptionally clean and the hotel is well maintained. The manager and all the staff obviously care about the hotel and the guests that occupy it. The Ambassador Hotel is truly southern hospitality at its finest ? and in little ?ole Amarillo. Who would have guessed!
