Having had a HORRIBLE experience at that atrocious place called ""PRIDE N JOY"" in Sherman Oaks, I had trepidations about ALL dog groomers in LA until I stumbled upon this little jewel of a place on Lankershim in NoHo. At the Bird House they always find time to fit my dogs in for grooming and - unlike PRIDE N JOY - they don't expect you to (1) bathe the dog prior to coming in (2) make sure that even the tiniest knot isn't visible and (3) stay on a regular service basis with them in order to make your dog look and smell wonderful! Plus, my dog LIKES these people (he hated the PRIDE & JOY staff). He doesn't return home with his genitals eviscerated and yelping in pain. Instead, he's all fluffy, playful and even comes back with a cute little bow in his fur! Oh, also they give out ""certificates"" - the ""GOOD DOG AWARD"" for grooming! Now, that's quality service with a smile! Plus - they're incredibly well priced and they don't keep your dog whining in a hot cage for 6 hours before calling you to come and pick your pet up (are you reading this, PRIDE & JOY??).
