Dr. Mills was my vet for 7 years until last year when I had a very bad experience last year. Over time I referred at least five of my friends & family members to him and each had different, but very odd things happen with him. I took my dog in after noticing her behaving very differently (moving very slow, bumping into walls, drinking water constantly and eating a lot as well as rapid weight gain). I told him there was definitely something wrong with her. After running a ton of expensive tests and charging me $400 he told me that she was just getting older and slower and was overweight.....I couldn't believe it! After researching her symptoms online I discovered that she was blind - duh - he didn't even test her vision! I took her to an opthamologist that diagnosed her immediately with SARDS a disease in canines that caused all of her symptoms. Numerous times he acted incompetent and unprofessional (cursing, making bigotted remarks, angrily defending himself when questioned) He does not like his ""authority"" questioned at all. He told one friend (that started crying in the exam room when she brought in her sick cat) that she was not the kind of client he was looking for and that she needed to find another vet. She was worried about her cat and he yelled at her like she was a child crying for no reason. He actually threw the patient chart at another friend and verbally attacked her in the waiting room when she came to get her dog after a surgery he was unsuccessful in performing. I am curious if anyone else has had such experiences with this man.... Pros: Friendly staff, nice facility Cons: Incompetent and unprofessional veterinarian.
