Horrible Customer Service 12/15/2011

I have to agree with k9handler's post. After being blindsided with unasked for and services during boarding, I asked what charges I could expect for this boarding. After going round and round about $25 per dog(we have 2) ""required"" bathing they agreed that they would most certainly not bathe our dogs (mind you, they were staying for 2 nights and had JUST been bathed the day before). When my husband picked up the dogs, his staff was extremely rude and rough in handling our dogs, he was only billed for shots, which we agreed to. I thought that the vet was making good on overzealous charges from our previous visit and my complaints and was making an effort to keep our business (which we had already decided he lost.) Today when I checked our mailbox, I too received our dogs medical records and a letter stating we should find services elsewhere...as ""he is not a young man"". No problem. Looking forward to the day when the construction crews demolish your building to make way for the new highway. Good riddance! Our dogs are better off without you and your rude staff. more

CRAZY PERSON.... 10/1/2010

\r This vet is crazy...Im a k9 handler who has been using him for years with my shepherds...up until a recent turn of events I would have SWORN by him with all these other people. \r For the record, my life is my dogs and I want them well cared for....Dr Mills is a good vet, but I refuse to be disrespected, talked down to, and with a complete lack of unprofessionalism. I treat others as I expect to be treated, and this guy let me down big time.\r \r I made an inquiry about a bill once very recently after having my female spayed there, and he sent me insulting letters telling me that I could go to val-u-vet if I didnt like their pay structure. He put my dogs records in the letter as well, telling me I was wecome to go elesewhere and for me to take my business elsewhere. \r \r I did not want to go anywhere else and that was not my issue to begin with.\r \r When I called (while I was deployed overseas by the way) to inquire what the letter was all about, I got yelled at, cussed at, and hung up on. He told me he refused to apologize and I was no longer welcome at their place of business (ALL FOR ASKING A QUESTION!!!) I was acting professionally and this grown man was acting the role of a kindergartner. \r \r He is super unstable and his professionalism in dealing with clients has much to be desired. I had reccomended many people to him in the past including my major K9 company I work for...I will now have to rescind all those reccomendations. \r \r PLEASE< please please...if you care about your pet and you like to be treated fairly, do NOT go to this man. DR Bruce Mills is a crazy person and unstable. Its not a question of whether you will have a bad experience with him, its only a matter of how long it will take for it to happen. Good luck, please find another vet though. more

dr mills and staff 8/2/2010

so glad i found this site! to all you people out there who are so quick to bad mouth DR. MILLS and his staff, you are the ones who just like the other viewer commented, ""cant take the heat"", so go somewhere else, but i can promise you this, you will never find a more honest, down to earth vet, he says whats on his mind and alot of people cant handle that, he does not beat around the bush, or BS anyone!!i have been going to him for 9 years and my husband for at least 11 yrs, dr mills and his staff got me through one of the hardest times in my life , when i had no choice but to put my ROTTIE DOWN, that was about 7 years ago, and i will never forget the care they showed my baby, this ""uncaring"" vet that some of you call him, had tears in his eyes , along with Lisa, they made one of the worst days of my life , OKAY, because i knew that she was in the best hands possible, she took her last breath with all of us beside her, and i will never forget it! he has been nothing but caring, honest, funny,a friend, to my husband and all of my ""kids"", i have three that go to him, they are my kids, and i would trust no one else with them, bottom line is this , no matter what kind of news he tells me, good or bad, i know without any doubt , that it is 150% the truth, facts, so for you ""haters"" out there , go somewhere else please, find some whimpy vet that just tells you what you wanna hear!!!!but ,everyone is entitled to there own opinion, my husband and i will forever keep going back because we dont like BS ers, we want honesty!!! Pros: too many to list more

NOT RECOMMENDED 5/1/2008

I believe the previous negative reviews that were written about this veterinarian and I'm thankful to see I'm not alone. I had bad experiences with the level of customer service I received from this veteranarian on separate occasions. I'm glad I trusted my gut and chose not to mention the concerns I had to this Vet. Pros: Plenty of Parking Spaces Cons: Level of Respect more

great vet! 4/20/2008

two people who write such reports about a great vet that has saved numerious animals over the years obviously were unhappy about something else.. i find it very hard to believe what was written about him after knowing him and going to him for several years... grow up!!! Pros: awesome office Cons: none to date! more

gives expired medications! 1/29/2008

after being a patient for 6 years, he gave me an antibiotic that was 4 years past its expiration date that i used on my cat before noticing the date and it possibly made him sick because i had to bring him back in. he then denied the date on the crimp of the tube when i showed it to him while yelling at me about not trusting him in front of the whole office. very unprofessional and i will never return!!! Pros: reasonable prices Cons: rude and uncompassionate vet more

Friendly staff - incompetent vet 11/14/2007

Dr. Mills was my vet for 7 years until last year when I had a very bad experience last year. Over time I referred at least five of my friends & family members to him and each had different, but very odd things happen with him. I took my dog in after noticing her behaving very differently (moving very slow, bumping into walls, drinking water constantly and eating a lot as well as rapid weight gain). I told him there was definitely something wrong with her. After running a ton of expensive tests and charging me $400 he told me that she was just getting older and slower and was overweight.....I couldn't believe it! After researching her symptoms online I discovered that she was blind - duh - he didn't even test her vision! I took her to an opthamologist that diagnosed her immediately with SARDS a disease in canines that caused all of her symptoms. Numerous times he acted incompetent and unprofessional (cursing, making bigotted remarks, angrily defending himself when questioned) He does not like his ""authority"" questioned at all. He told one friend (that started crying in the exam room when she brought in her sick cat) that she was not the kind of client he was looking for and that she needed to find another vet. She was worried about her cat and he yelled at her like she was a child crying for no reason. He actually threw the patient chart at another friend and verbally attacked her in the waiting room when she came to get her dog after a surgery he was unsuccessful in performing. I am curious if anyone else has had such experiences with this man.... Pros: Friendly staff, nice facility Cons: Incompetent and unprofessional veterinarian. more
