Perfection is impossible but the Troubadour comes damn close.
There is no doubt that the owner, Jake, is an expert. Ask him anything about anything-- anything!-- and he'll talk your ear off. He's friendly, generous, and kind to a fault. The repairs conducted by Jake and his hip young associate are solid and professional. I've brought nearly every guitar I own through that door and I've never left unsatisfied.
The young folks behind the desk, while less knowledgeable than Jake, are still incredibly helpful and polite. The place gets packed though, so if you really want one-on-one time you better get in before lessons start!
Overall, my experience at the Troubadour-- with Jake, his staff, and even the brief interactions I've had with the teachers-- has been nothing but positive.
I can't recommend this shop more!
