worth noting: i am picky about my indian food. after having lived in london for several years and travelling to india, i would like to think i can pick out the good from the bad. the usual soggy, greasy ""indian"" food that you seem to find in the states just doesn't do it for me. it was my birthday and as i love indian food i decided to try india house since it had come with such great reviews. i was impressed, as were everyone i dined with - some of whom came to dinner saying ""i'm not so keen on indian food."" they have a great selection and everything is made to order so if you want something finely tunes on the spicy meter or certain vegetables put in/taken out, they are happy to do it without question. our waiter made an excellent wine recommendation for me, and as he heard in our conversation that it was my birthday, he even made sure that i got a birthday surprise in the form of kheer with a candle in it!
