Katie (our 14 lb Jack Russell) chased after a bear and was attacked. My husband first heard the noises from the bear, like a ""snorting"" and immediately after Katie's yelping and screaming. He hurried over to rescue her to find the 250 lb. bear was still standing there about 30 feet away looking at them.
