I tried Moda b/c they have a reputation and was impressed with the talk-up that the manager gave me when I called. I scheduled a $100 facial and waxing. The manager said she would give me an introductory special of $85. I was thrilled to be pampered! I have had many regular facials in my life all over the country. My face wax was rushed and completely over in less than 5 minutes! The only question the woman asked me was which products I used...nothing else was discussed. She then put an enzyme mask on my freshly waxed skin!?!? A big no-no! When she was done she said, ""Well, your not bleeding..."" and lef the room. When I went to change and saw myself in the mirror I had ABRASIONS where she had waxed. My face was beet red and looked like it had been scrubbed with a steel sponge! This was the BASIC facial! When I went to the desk to pay I was told that the aesthetician had upgraded my facial to a ""purify me"" facial and that it was an additional $25. I stated we discussed no upgrade and the immature desk staff just nodded and said, ""well this is what she did..."" I was so upset at the state of my face that I went home and cried. The next day I broke out with a rash over my entire face including eyelids and lips. I finally called the manager and she was apologetic, but had to check with the owner about a refund. All I wanted was my hard earned money back for the abuse that I experienced in that ""spa."" She suggested I come back in and see the same person that did this to me!!! I refused. I have yet to hear anything about a refund... Horrible customer service. Caused me undue stress....
