To whom it may Concern:
Luis Ruiz brought to our attention the fact that the manufacturer of the tile we chose, had cut the 16x16 tiles into smaller pieces (8x16 and 8x8) for our chosen pattern instead of manufacturing them in the smaller sizes. We had believed, and I think carpet Exchange also believed, that the tiles were manufactured in the smaller sizes and not cut. Luis and his crew then had to hand cut some of the smaller tiles for uniformity, as several were not uniform, but different dimensions than promised.
We have accepted the work that Luis and his crew have done with regard to tile placement, tile cutting, etc. We accept the job as it was done. They did a great job! We feel Luis did the best job he could in trying to make us happy and also to be honest about the situation.
We understand that neither Luis nor Carpet Exchange had knowledge of the tile being hand cut in smaller pieces, as opposed to being manufactured in the smaller sizes.
Carpet Exchange is very lucky to have Luis overseeing and handling their tile jobs. I have a feeling that someone else might not have brought this to put attention. They might have just placed and cemented the tiles and not said a word. When the situation is handles the way Luis handled it, the customer feels as if the crew is very trustworthy and cares about the end product. Because of that, we would highly recommend Luis to anyone asking us about tile work.
Sincerely,
Bruce and Kerry Johnson
