Review content:
Can't believe I'm the first to review a place that's been around since the 70's! I'm a big fan of World Wide Stereo. 1. It's not a place with wall-to-wall distractions of 100's of tv's to choose from like the chains. They do all that for you, editing quantity down to yield superior quality items. 2. it's not a place where you'll have bubble-gum chewing idiots that you have to beg to help you and spell out everything for them... also like the chain stores. The employees know their stuff, and as far as I've experienced, they are not ""car salesman"", but they are warm and honest and really seem to want to help you make a good choice for your particular need. 3. The other reason I will continue to go back to WWS is their follow-up... my salesman called me to make sure I'm happy with my products AND wrote me a thank you note. I have always felt comfortable about the whole experience. Not to mention most of the guys there have been there since I started shopping there in the early 80's, so it's great to know who you are buying from and see familiar faces. 4. Last but not least, reading through their website, I appreicate a small business that contributes to its community. WWS donated the electronics for a locally shot episode of ABC's Exteme Home Makeover, all electronics to the new Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House, and I'm always seeing their name pop up at local charity events (which I frequent). So I'm happy to give WWS my money and partronage over some faceless chain store anyway. Overall, a solid establishment... in my humble opinion.
Pros: Sales team, Superior products over quantity, great info on website.
Cons: Only a con if you are someone who likes to shop at Walmart.
