Review content:
Without a doubt, the Wine and Cheese Cask has an amazing selection of wine, cheese, beer, and other gourmet sundries. However, the only reason I frequent this establishment is because it is the closest liquor store to my house. Why? Because the staff is the most miserable, unfriendly, and easily annoyed group of people I've ever encountered in customer service. The toll booth operators on the Mass Pike are happier than these people. With the sole exception of Kim - the Korean-American girl - they are routinely 'put out' to slice the deli meat, describe a cheese, handle returns, and ring up items. Are they gravely under-paid? Are the managers tyrants? Are they jaded by the condescending Cambridge clientele? Probably a little bit of all of these but please, if I'm paying $20/lb. for imported ham or $10 for a single bottle of beer, try to crack a smile once in a while. Or, if you're just not happy, move on. There are plenty of hourly, part-time jobs out there.
