Review content:
They were supposed to call 30 minutes prior to confirm but just showed up (on-time) instead. My mother's heating/cooling system was completely inop. Technician trouble-shot the system while I watched. He told me he needed replace the 24 volt transformer with another that was protected by a fuse. I pointed out that this one was protected by a fuse and maybe he should check the fuse. He did check it and it was bad. He didn't have that type in the truck. I was surprised that he wouldn't have a type of fuse that it used in literally tens of thousands of Rheem furnaces. I suggested temporarily jumpering around the fuse to see if everything else worked properly--he seemed quite reluctant to do so, attempting to baffle me with BS by telling me that there could be problems with the thermostat or air conditioner wiring which had caused the fuse to fail. I asked him how much the new transformer he wanted to install would be: $350! This would actually be $350 to buy a fuse holder with a good fuse. If the fuse didn't fail, there was no other problem with the system and I just wasted my money.
Pros: See review--there are no Pros
Cons: Way expensive, over-selling to and old woman, incompetent technician
