I am 20 years old and this was my first experience with a dealership. Needless to say I was looking for a used vehicle and ended up finding a 2003 Subaru WRX. First off, the deal was that they were to retint the windows, give me a full one year warrenty (minus wear and tear), and we settled at 13k. After we shook hands, I gave them the financing (inexperienced move, I now know) and they said they would have the car all cleaned up and ready for me within two days. Two days rolls around and I had yet to hear from them. Then three days, then four, five. On the fifth day I called to see what in the world was taking so long. They had very limited answers and so I started getting a little upset and demanded a car to drive until mine was ready. They complied and gave me a Toyota to drive around. The next day they call my work phone demanding that I take back the Toyota because they sold it. I told them that the only car I am trading the Toyota for is the one I bought. This ignited the fire at the bottom of the rope they were climbing because low and behold, my car was ready that night! So I get the car, finally. They never retinted the windows as written up in the contract. I know because the reason I was going to have them retint it was because it was all scratched up and looked like hell. When I brought it up, they claimed they had done it and that I was the one that scratched it all up. I then drove home to pull out my paperwork to see if I could find some loop holes. Halfway home the check engine light came on. So I kept driving home to dig out the paper work. What I found blew me away. They had somehow incorporated another 2k into the contract. (again, inexperience). so my car cost 15k now. I took the car back and they fixed it via my warranty. I must add that the parts they put into my car were used parts and not the greatest of quality. I was satisfied, however, that they didn't put up a fight. I drove off the lot and thought I would not look back...until the check engine light came on the next day. I popped my hood and realized that they hadn't tightened all the bolts where they did the initial engine work causing an important part to fall off and make my car idle like a 78 chevy. I took it back and they told me that the repair is ""wear and tear"" and they aren't liable to fix it. I am so irate with the whole situation and will never go back. In fact, I want to walk into that sales building and rip down that stupid banner that reads, ""Customer Satisfaction is what the customer says it is.""
