I ordered from Elizabeth Ashley Shutters in 2006. Shutters were custom built and installed about 4 months later. Based on prior experience, I ordered additional shutters in April 2007 for nearly $5,000. I was told that the standard 3 month window would apply. I understood that there could be some minor variance. I was told told to expect installation in early July. In mid-July, having not heard anything at all from the company, I called and was told that the factory was running behind and that installation was not likely until October 2007. I explained that this was not acceptable and after speaking with a supervisor, was given a late August installation date and a promise that this was a firm date. This week I received a call from Elizabeth Ashley Shutters stating that my August installation was being cancelled as the factory was still experiencing delays. I was told that the order is non-cancellable. So far, I have not been offered any significant economic adjustment.
Pros: Quality of the shutters is excellent
Cons: Customer service very poor. Installation date not as promised.
