Review content:
Backstage used to be one of the most reliably friendly and laid back bars in L.A., but we went there on a recent Saturday night and found that in addition to the ""regulars"" there was now a much ruder, rougher element hanging out there. They seemed to be friends with the staff, based on the staff's indifference to these guys' abusive behavior. The place was packed, with no security guard or bouncer to step in and keep things under control when certain people got rowdy. It was a disheartening experience, and we won't be returning.
