Review content:
From the moment you walk in until your order is finally written down by the waiter, you've had more than enough time to figure out that you are about to be ""had"". This is confirmed some time later when you finally get the check. I visited Bancock Grill for lunch with great expections after hearing other reviews. Unfortunately I was highly disappointed. I ordered the Pad Thai dish as a ""softball pitch"" to this restaurant and thought that this standard Thai dish would be hard to mess up. The dining experience that followed is best described as an ""epic failure"" - a term I forbid my 12 year old to use - only now I truly understand the meaning. The Coconut Chicken Soup left me feeling cheated for flavor - much less the main ingredients. The Pad Thai dish itself was dry, tasteless, and mindful of a pre-made plate of food that might be served on an airline - except you kinda expect it as part of flying... not from a restaurant. I'm not totally sure where my $22+ went (lunch for 2), but it was not for ingredients as my dish only included about 6 - 7 shrimp, or for service, or plate presentation. After my waiter used what looked like his personal drinking cup to refill my Diet Coke I finally realized that enough was enough. Pay the bill... out the door... mark this one off my list.
