Review content:
Went there recently for a brazilian wax and a haircut. Irina did my wax and was very professional and businesslike. She did a nice job, although I was a little nervous and forgot to specify that I'd like to keep some kind of landing strip -- when I looked down (early into the appointment, I thought), I realized it was too late. Oh well. I'm mildly creeped out that I look like a little girl, but it wasn't too painful. I would just try to speak up and be very clear about what you want early on.
My real complaint was with the styilst who did my hair -- I said ""Just a trim, I want to keep as much length as possible, I've been growing it out."" She nodded like she understood, but somehow, that was lost in translation and she cut like four inches. At no point did she stop and say ""Is this too much?"" or check before making a snip, and when I realized how much she'd cut, I didn't tell her to stop because then my hair would be freakishly uneven. The cut looks nice but I'd been growing my hair out for my wedding and I'm upset that all those months of growing my hair out were for naught -- she seriously cut off like five months of progress when all I wanted was a few dead ends snipped away and my bangs touched up.
Bottom line is that they do good work here, but the language barrier is considerable and annoying -- and that's NOT how to cultivate a good stylist/client relationship. (If you're fluent in Portuguese you might be all set though.)
Pros: Affordable, clean
Cons: Communication issues with the staff
