Review content:
My first review so here goes. I have been in LA for the last 5 months on business so I had ample opportunities to eat out. Franco's quickly became one of my favorites. Everyone is extremely friendly and they make sure you have a good experience. You are started out with a basket of freshly baked bread, balsamic vinegar, olive oil and a dish of roasted garlic. Be careful, it is easy to eat 2 baskets of bread and ruin your appetite. Every day they have specials that are based on what the chef gets fresh that day. The menu also offers many selections of pasta, sauces and meat dishes. They also make pizza that looked good but I never tried it. One of my favorite specials is flounder served with a light sauce along with steamed mussels and clams. Seafood can be a challenge but I was never disappointed here. Shellfish was cooked spot on as was every fish dish. The sauces always tasted fresh and were not too heavily seasoned so the taste of the ingredients stood out. When asked they were more than happy to make your dish spicy or to add extra basil. Save room for their cheesecake. It is light and one of the better ones I have had.
Pros: Great food and selections, friendly
Cons: A little out of the way
