Review content:
My check engine light came on during rush hour traffic. Naturally I wanted to get it to a mechanic ASAP. Unfortunately, I went to a mechanic that really stuck it to me. I told the guy at the counter to just make sure my car was ok to drive home. 2 Hrs later I was forced to pay $90 something for a gas cap. They did not advise me on any charges till they had already done the work. They scanned the computer, which is close to the exact same thing AutoZone will do for FREE! After I addressed the issue with the owner, he was rude and blamed me for bringing my car to him. He's correct! I never should have taken my car there, nor will I again.
Follow Up:
2-3Hrs after posting my review the owner calls me with a 100% different attitude. He offered an olive branch. A free $45 car care/oil change. BUT during this ordeal he made it abundantly clear to me that his mechanics are commission, which was his reason for offering no concession on the gas cap ordeal.
So...Do I really want a commissioned mechanic under the hood of my car? I think not. I want one that cares about my car and not want driven by sales. I want one driven to help me.
