Businiess name:  26 Beach

Review content:
Venice is a great neighborhood for eclectic food places and trendy eateries which is why 26 Beach stands out: it is neither. It's just a great little place that is often overlooked because it fronts onto Washington and parking can be dicey on occasion. My boyfriend and I have been coming here for dinner for the last few years when we're just craving a nice dinner and a good bottle of wine and don't want to go to the trouble ourselves. I think combined we've probably had almost everything on the menu. Some favorites are the fresh fruit salad which, especially in the summer, is a great substitute for dessert. I'm a big fan of the meatloaf - it's just to my liking without all those annoying veggies taking up valuable meat space. And the garlic mashed potatoes that come with it are reason enough to eat here. The chocolate cake and apple crisp are always amazing and we usually get one or the other even if we're completely full and can't eat another bite. We've also never had a problem with the service and have been seated promptly with a reservation on the weekends and without on weeknights. Pros: Good food, good wine, good service Cons: Parking can be tricky, weekends are crowded
