just for the couple of you who complained, id like to say that im a dancer at sbdc and im not part of any ""clique."" i dont get millions of solos. but im happy here. i cant even tell you how many times chris and/or shanna has taken extra time after class or before class to help me with a step, teach me a dance step i didnt understand, or even there was one time i started crying in class, and shanna pulled me aside afterwards just to talk to me and make sure i was alright. if thats not what teaching is all about, i dont know what is. im not in a clique. but personally i think dancing should be about love, not about being front and center all the time. stop throwing fits when your kids dont get parts. they should dance because they love to dance, whether theyre front and center, in the back, or at home in their bedrooms with the door shut. i respect your opinions, but your wrong entirely. and as for the ""teachers with questionable behaviors,"" they took a background check on that person and nothing bad came up, so there was no reason not to hire them, and as soon as the incident happened that person was fired. the situation was dealt with professionally and no one was hurt. sbdc is a safe environment, and a LOVING environment, and they dont fight dirty and try to steal students from someone else's studio. they teach beacuse they love us, and they love dance. PERIOD. Pros: the teachers love their students
