Review content:
The week before the Super Bowl my television started acting up & with company coming over for the game I wanted to make sure everything was going to be working fine. My wife called Paul's & explained the situation with the TV. The person she spoke to said we needed a new bulb & a tune up with the total cost being $300.
The service was prompt, they showed up the next day & got to work. Five minutes later they were finished. The technician installed a new bulb which we apparently needed. The ""tune up"" that we were told we needed was the technician blowing the dust off of the guts of the TV.
The bulb cost $150 & the house call was $50. The other $100 was for the technician to blow the dust away from the inside of the television. That is not a ""tune up"" it's a rip off! I don't know if they tried to take advantage because it was a female who called or not but it's totally unacceptable & dishonest.
My wife called the next day to explain how she felt deceived over paying $300 for a ""tune up"" we didn't need. The person she spoke with was rude & unresponsive. Our TV worked just as fine now as it did before this ""tune up.""
If you do use Paul's TV make sure they don't talk you into needing a ""tune up"" or any other service unless you know it's necessary. If they hadn't pushed this ""tune up"" on us we would've saved $150 on the ""labor"" & house call.
