Review content:
My first experience with the Saltgrass Steakhouse was in San Antonio, TX. My girlfriends and I were extremely impressed with the food, drinks and atmosphere. I had asked the manager in Texas if there were any locations in the Colorado area and was excited to find out there was a location in Parker (20 minutes from my home). My fianc? and I had friends coming in from out of town and I suggested we check out the Saltgrass. I went online, got the number, and made a reservation. Afterward, I read the negative reviews and became hesitant on keeping the reservation. We picked our friends up and offered to dine out somewhere else, but we decided to stick with our plans for the Saltgrass Steakhouse.
We dine out frequently and arrived at the Saltgrass with low expectations. The atmosphere was not as nice as the San Antonio location, but after all, we?re talking Parker, CO in comparison to the Riverwalk. We were greeted by a friendly staff and seated within a few minutes. I decided to order the same meal I had in Texas so that I could truly compare ? Fillet Oscar (7oz. Fillet, topped with Crab and a Hollandaise Sauce, Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus). We ordered our steak Medium-Rare and it was cooked to perfection. We both agreed it was one of the best steaks we had ever had (which would include restaurants such as The ChopHouse, Brooks and Ocean Prime). Near the end of our meal, the manager came by our table to see if we were satisfied with the meal and service. I let him know that we had almost canceled our reservation after reading the reviews online but were so glad we decided to check it out for ourselves.
The Saltgrass Steakhouse does not have the atmosphere of a high-scale restaurant, but the food and service was exceptional. While visiting San Antonio I had also tried the Beef Enbrochette and the Grilled Gulf Shrimp ? I am looking forward to trying these two appetizers at the Parker location the next time we visit. This is definitely a restaurant we will dine at again and I would encourage anyone who might be hesitant from some of the previous reviews to check it out for yourself ? and do try the Fillet Mignon, it was absolutely delicious!
