Review content:
We are locals and we love this place! I can't even IMAGINE where the person who gave this one star was eating - certainly NOT at Flying Fish! Owners Kenny and Tina Fukumoto have started several successful restaurants in the Carmel area over the years, and this remains a favorite. Often we just get several appetizers and share, rather than a full meal. Nice wine list, pricing is reasonable for Carmel, service is exceptional and the food is fresh and prepared with skill and love. They make all the sauces there in house too! We usually wait to visit Carmel until ""locals time"" (October through about May) and usually on an early weeknight, we get wonderful service that way and plenty of parking. If you're going during busy times, reservations are a must as this is not a big place! Ambiance is rustic and charming, dress is casual, food is spectacular!
Pros: Wonderful food, wonderful service, unique ambiance
Cons: Weekends/tourist season - we avoid!
