Cut to the Chase:
I really wanted to like BRC a lot more... it had some highs (Dr. Pepper Glazed Quail) and it had some lows (overpriced and underwhelming).
The Details:
We came here for our Tuesday Night Dinner Club and we ordered several appetizers and entrees as part of our BRC experience. The Dr. Pepper glazed Kentucky fried Quail came highly recommended and it was delicious.... the savory meat and breading with the sweet glaze reminded me of when I would swap my fried chicken with the syrup left from eating waffles at the Breakfast Klub. If that was all I ate, then it would have gotten higher stars from me... however, the group ordered a variety of dishes that garnered a range of underwhelming reviews... the grilled cheese was only okay and nowhere near as cheesy as we had hoped... the mac and cheese was okay but nothing earth shattering... the chicken fried steak sandwiches were ordered by a few in our group and they felt it was alright... there was an open-faced brisket sandwich that was okay... my Leghorn salad was a decent dish, but was it $11.50 decent? We also had the boneless short ribs on mashed potatoes, and that was decent as well...
Overall:
It was a decent outing... but nothing out of this world (with the exception of the Dr Pepper Quail). I wouldn't mind coming back for a drink and maybe the quail, but overall it was a-ok - hence, 3 stars. Service was top notch and very friendly.
