Fried Chicken Fortune 3/24/2012

It's 8pm. I wanted friend chicken. The closest source is BRC and they want 18 bucks for it. That is insane. It's chicken for goodness sake. Who eats $18 fried chicken? Not this little red fox. more

Good food but terrible service. Not going back. more

If you go, try the Dr Pepper Quail for something different. 9/27/2010

Cut to the Chase: I really wanted to like BRC a lot more... it had some highs (Dr. Pepper Glazed Quail) and it had some lows (overpriced and underwhelming). The Details: We came here for our Tuesday Night Dinner Club and we ordered several appetizers and entrees as part of our BRC experience. The Dr. Pepper glazed Kentucky fried Quail came highly recommended and it was delicious.... the savory meat and breading with the sweet glaze reminded me of when I would swap my fried chicken with the syrup left from eating waffles at the Breakfast Klub. If that was all I ate, then it would have gotten higher stars from me... however, the group ordered a variety of dishes that garnered a range of underwhelming reviews... the grilled cheese was only okay and nowhere near as cheesy as we had hoped... the mac and cheese was okay but nothing earth shattering... the chicken fried steak sandwiches were ordered by a few in our group and they felt it was alright... there was an open-faced brisket sandwich that was okay... my Leghorn salad was a decent dish, but was it $11.50 decent? We also had the boneless short ribs on mashed potatoes, and that was decent as well... Overall: It was a decent outing... but nothing out of this world (with the exception of the Dr Pepper Quail). I wouldn't mind coming back for a drink and maybe the quail, but overall it was a-ok - hence, 3 stars. Service was top notch and very friendly. more

Umm...... Yea 8/8/2010

So the beer selection is good but averages $8 per glass. The Mojito was however made from white wine and strawberry mix and tasted pretty terrible. They were out of 1/2 of the food and several of the beers. The service was OK also but I asked for a poached egg on my salad and the waitress asked the Chef's and they told her NO. The food was 'eh, my salad was fine but one of my friends ordered the blue crab beignets and they were completely burnt. He ate them anyway because he figured the cooks wouldn't care. The decor is very nice but the restroom doors are see through! That's right, everyone can see you doing your business, wiping and the like! I asked why they were that way and the staff admitted customers regularly complain but the Chef's say they don't care , they like the idea of seeing ladies use the pot. I will not be returning no matter what until that is fixed because who wants to eat and drink somewhere they aren't comfortable using the bathroom or where they feel uneasy about the cooks. more

Great New Restaurant! 8/4/2010

I'm a big fan of BRC! They're right down the street from me so parkings not an issue because I can just walk there. It's always packed, but it makes for great people watching. It's lively but the decor still makes it feel cozy! Their burger is delicious! more

BRC Not Quite Living Up to the Hype? 6/22/2010

It is hard to write this but BRC is not living up to the hype that I want to believe it has the potential to be. Pros: red-wine sangria, mac & cheese, pickles, prices Cons: long wait, hit or miss service, lackluster flavors, parking more

Great Late Night Dining 6/15/2010

I really enjoyed BRC! We sat on the patio and had an amazing waiter! I was very pleased with the menu and pricing and LOVED the selection of unique beers and cocktails! Parking is not bad and the staff was very friendly. I will definately visit again! Pros: Great Food and Drinks, Late Night Dining more
