Rent Max is a total scam! I saw an ad for a rental property in the paper. Called the number and got an "" agent "" for rent max. I asked him about the property and gave him detailed information on what my family and I were looking for. He said that they had exactly what I wanted, where i wanted, and for the price I wanted. I asked him for the info on the home and he explained that I would have to drive to their office, which is about 40 min from my home and pay them 59.$ for their services. So, I loaded my 3 kids in the car, drove there, signed their paper work, handed over my credit card and as soon as that was done I got 3 print offs of homes that were nothing that fit into my criteria. When I asked about the 1 specific home that I raced to their office for they had the audacity to tell me that the home had gotten rented 2 min after I had called them. I found that very hard to believe. Not only that but I also thing that it is pretty important info to explain to people that the houses they have on their "" list "" may no longer be available. Once I realized that I had been scammed, I asked for a refund of my 59$ because I had and have no intentions on using them.... EVER... Then, I was rudely informed that I would have to wait for 32 days and then call them for a refund and I would get a partial refund of my money but if I did not call on the 32nd day I would get none of my money back. This was all told to me by the front office manager who btw reeked of Marijuana and was the rudest and most unprofessional person that I have ever met. I told her that I thought it was really crappy how they charge someone for a service that they obviously are not able to provide correctly and as I was walking out the door she yelled ""F****KING B***H""!! She did this in front of my 3 kids... After that I called the bank, stopped payment, disputed the charge, called her manager which was also a joke, called their cooperate manager - nothing there... So, no cooperation at all from anyone. I have filed against them with the BBB and will continue to let everyone know about their scamming business and very rude mannerisms to hopefully save someone else from the headache that I endured...! Rent Max is a scam with BS employees and employers!!!
