I walked in this club scared, alone and having lost everything important to me (family, friends and my job) because of alcoholism. I was welcomed with open arms and met several women who have walked in my shoes. They bought me a big book and took time out of their busy lives to help me begin my journey in AA. Today I am 5 years sober, have my family and friends supporting me and loving me. I have also met so many new friends who are a big part of my continued sobriety. My son is 12 and I asked him what he wanted for Christmas this year and he told me that he already got his wish and that was me!
