Review content:
I work at this hospital as a Boarding Kennel Technician. It looks like people are not realizing this is an emergency hospital so it's the same as emergency for people. Emergency is costly. As for saying that no one is in the back, that;s not true. It's just like any emergency hospital, some nights are chaotic, some nights are quiet. There's at least one Vet and usually two overnight. The hospital is in a business area because of zoning restrictions. Closing the doors after hours is noted on the front door. The wait is the usual for emergency. as anyone can tell you from experience. I won't make excuses for poor service as it exists, everywhere. Emergencies are emotionally charged circumstances and people are going more on their emotions to perceive the circumstances. Be aware that emergency is costly and research before anything happens when you need emergency animal care. Have it known where to take your pet. It's very upsetting to have a bad situation without even knowing where to go. Generally, at this hospital, they don't allow people to go to the treatment area because of the clients emotional state and that could result in even more problems for staff and the owner. I've had my own bad experiences with Veterinary Hospitals plus I've worked at an animal shelter. I know what it's like as a client and as an employee. Also, most people who work at Central have pets and we do understand. As for emergency Vets, they can have abrasive personalities because of the work they do. It's not easy seeing suffering animals, night after night.
Pros: Good care, good staff.
Cons: Expensive as it's emergency. Long wait can be expected at times.
