I had my fiance's engagement ring appraised by Lana at Universal Gem for insurance. They were extremely professional and reasonable priced. Importantly, they are independent and, therefore, are not connected to any seller. At each step I was told the reason for the grading and was let in on the process behind her decision. All of the grading was done before looking at my GIA report, to insure that the diamond in the ring was the one I gave the jewler. I highly recommend Universal for anyone looking for a well priced professional appraisal!
