Review content:
I just recently placed an expensive dessert order with the cafe for I do believe they have the most amazing desserts. I inquired about nuts in their baked goods for I have a niece that has a nut allergy and was informed that there were no nuts in their apple pie when indeed, there are nuts baked into the crust. This then caused a visit to the emergency room on Thanksgiving evening and when I brought it to the owner's attention, there was no apology and nothing was done to make the situation better. Instead, the owner just became argumentative and defensive and had a very bad attitude! I was shocked!!!! I understand simple mistakes can be made however, when it comes to food allergies, which can possibly lead to a life or death matter, should you not train/inform your sales associates of what ingredients are in your baked goods? Am I really expecting too much? The whole experience just left a bad taste in my mouth and could have been eased with just a bit of empathy and a simple apology and efforts made to rectify the situation. So in all, if you have nut allergies, stay clear of the cafe and if you do have a bad experience, do not expect an apology or anything done to rectify the problem.
