Review content:
After all the great things I've heard about La Esperanza over the past couple years, I finally made it there this past weekend. I have to say, I was very dissappointed with the service and my meal. We were greeted right away for our drink order, but then didn't see our drinks for another 10 minutes or so, after we placed our order for food. The food was just okay. Nothing I'd go out of my way for again. The thing that really surprised me was the cost of our bill. I wasn't expecting to pay over $50 for mexican food. If it was really good food or if I was in center city then I wouldn't be complaining. They charged $2.50 for sour cream and tomatoes which doesn't come with the taco dinner my husband ordered. I thought that was standard in mexican restaurants.
Pros: ambience was great
Cons: food was boring, overpriced. Service was poor
