Review content:
I took my Acura into Rainbow muffler to have a clutch and three motor mounts installed. They finished it with the exception of one mount because the transmission mount had to be ordered from Honda. When I left their shop, I noticed it was pulling hard to the right. I went back and told Steve that something was wrong with my car. He assured me that the broken motor mount was the cause of the hard pulling. The following Monday, out of curiosity, I went to Big 10 where I had my car aligned a few weeks earlier to see if my car was out of alignment. They said it was but would not honor my six month warranty on it because Rainbow had taken my front end apart to install my clutch. After that I went to Rainbow muffler and told Steve that my car was out of alignment and I wanted to know what they had done to my vehicle. He stated that they did nothing that would affect the alignment of my car. I argued the point that my car was fine before they installed my transmission. After a few minutes of arguing my point, he agreed to have my car aligned at no cost to me. They took my car to a shop down the road. After my car was aligned, the guy at the shop where it was aligned said that my ball joints were hanging loose and I needed to have them replaced. I asked Steve if they had taken my ball joints loose. He told me that they pretty much destroyed them during the installation of my clutch. Needless to say, I had to buy the ball joints and they installed them. I then refused to pay for the labor to put them on until I talked to the owner of Rainbow Muffler. He threatened to take a warrant out on me for theft of services if I didn't pay the labor cost. He did cut the price of the labor. I payed him. Rainbow Muffler damaged my vehicle and I had to pay for the repairs. If I were you, I would take my vehicle elsewhere to have it repaired. If the break something while working on your vehicle, they will NOT fix it, they expect you to pay them for the parts and labor to fix their error. My clutch is still under warranty with them. I hate to have to go back to them to warranty it. There is no telling what they will do to my car next!!!!! Oh, and I noticed that my rack and pinion boot it ripped about off. It wasn't like that when I took it to them. I am not going to even mention it to them because I know they will deny it. RIP OFF!
