Businiess name:  Del Mar Automotive Repair
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
Look. I'm a girl and I have an almost classic car. Any place else but Del Mar Automotive Repair and that combination would be a recipe for disaster. They've done work for me before - explained what they did, fixed the problem, and charged me a more than fair price. But not until I recently had to have my little cream puff towed in with mystery starting problem did I truly understand what a great shop they are... DMAR did all the diagnostic work but couldn't find an answer (they even looked a previous repair). So they did just what Click & Clack suggests a great mechanic would do - they called the manufacturer for advice. DMAR made the manufacturer's suggested repair and instead of charging me upfront for the repair when I picked up the car, they said to drive it around for a couple of weeks to make sure they had actually fixed the car, and if the repair takes care of the mysterious starting problem, THEN pay them. INCREDIBLE!
