This was the best experience I have had with auto repair! Not only were the guys honest and friendly, but they actually had me laughing as I paid and drove out of the lot!! That was definitely a first. Car has worked perfect since. You will not be disappointed! more

Exceptionally great experience! 10/10/2011

I do not enjoy going to any auto shops, I always feel like I am about to be ripped off and that is not a good feeling. However, once I found Del mar Auto I did not feel that way anymore. The guys are great and honest. They do not try to fix a bunch of things just to increase the price and they actually listened to what I wanted done. Exceptionally great experience! more

Del Mar Auto is an A+ 10/10/2011

I needed to have my car checked out (for troublesome smoking coming from the hood!) and get an oil change. After reading reviews on my previous mechanic I was worried to take it there for fear of having something unnecessarily fixed or a major bill. So I searched and was surprised to find a mechanic with a ton of 5 star reviews. Really, that had to be a good sign! We dropped of my car and the owner said he would look into the issue at no charge and give us a call. It turned out to be a minor repair and he gave us a quote and the bill actually matched the quote! The price was a good one and turnaround within the same day. Del Mar Auto is an A+ in my book and we will take our cars back there for maintenance and repairs! more

5 star service! They were incredibly speedy and efficient with my car. They took very good care of me and I didn't feel like I was getting over charged for anything. I will take my car back here again in the future if needed. more

Honest Mechanic! 10/6/2011

This guy is honest; you will not be sold things you do not need. To me, that is awesome in itself, honest mechanics are rare. The oil change does not magically increase the price because you need more oil or other nonsense I have been told other places. He outsourced work that he couldn more

Get service 10/4/2011

I give this place 5 stars because they saved me about 400 dollars. They have great customer service. I brought my 2007 Accord here to get serviced and they did an excellent job. They gave me a quote over the phone. Ordered the part for me and didn't raise the price and they got my car fixed in a timely manner. more

Live Up To The Hype 9/30/2011

Don't know what to say but wow! These guys live up to the hype I just went in for a basic oil change (the least I have ever paid) not expecting much and left feeling like my being a customer really mattered to these guys. I didn't get to experience the ""Magic"" everyone else seems to because the phone didn't stop ringing and customers kept coming in the door the whole time I was there, but still I see the appeal. more

Honest Repair Shop 9/15/2011

Found these guys after searching for oil change. They are very professional, and don't try to ding you for a ton of repairs. I took it in for some brake work, another shop had quoted a much higher repair bill. I saved money and time and it wasn't as extensive a repair as I was told by another mechanic. Nice to find someone honest. more

Great experience; fast, thorough service. They found a small issue that they fixed, and otherwise ran an issue-free inspection. And, as usual, I was pleased to find a cold bottle of water in the car when I drove off. more

A Pleasure to Deal With 8/30/2011

A friend recommended Del Mar Automotive repair to me the other day. I called in and spoke to the owner, Tom, who was helpful and professional. I requested to leave my car for a few hours for an oil change while I ran errands with a friend. I asked him to also check over a few things that I knew needed attention. He called me to let me know the vehicle was ready from the oil change and gave me a price on the other item I wanted a quote on. I was very impressed that he saved the old part to show me the damage to it. He was reasonably priced and a pleasure to deal with. more

Incredible!! 8/26/2011

Look. I'm a girl and I have an almost classic car. Any place else but Del Mar Automotive Repair and that combination would be a recipe for disaster. They've done work for me before - explained what they did, fixed the problem, and charged me a more than fair price. But not until I recently had to have my little cream puff towed in with mystery starting problem did I truly understand what a great shop they are... DMAR did all the diagnostic work but couldn't find an answer (they even looked a previous repair). So they did just what Click & Clack suggests a great mechanic would do - they called the manufacturer for advice. DMAR made the manufacturer's suggested repair and instead of charging me upfront for the repair when I picked up the car, they said to drive it around for a couple of weeks to make sure they had actually fixed the car, and if the repair takes care of the mysterious starting problem, THEN pay them. INCREDIBLE! more

Wonderful job done to the car. The repair guys are so well trained and organized. The amount that I had to pay was ridiculously cheap. I will keep coming back if I have any more trouble. (Not hoping it will but if it does than I know where to go) Thank you!! more

I just moved to the area and all my neighbors kept telling me to go to this place even though there are other shops down the road. I came here and everyone is friendly and the service is amazingly fast. All the workers are well organized and I definitely love that in an auto shop. more

Prompt Service!! 8/11/2011

This place is awesome. They don't charge must. They don't say you need this and you need that like other auto repair place trying to make extra bucks. If they don't have the part or tool for the thing they need to fix they will tell you rather than make you wait and tell you a while later. I like this place because they are prompt at there services. more

This place has the most reasonable prices in the area. I love it because every time I go in, i am back out in a flash. I just love the consistency of it being like a snap of a finger. The customer service is exquisite. Normally, auto repair locations I been too aren't that clean but this one keeps up to date. more

I dealt with Tom for my Nissan and he was just awesome. The appearance of the shop was neat and I have never been to a shop like this before. They are organized and streamlined and I would never go to another place for my Nissan. more
