Went here on Friday night March 9, 2007. Valet parking, which is nice, the lot is confusing with people and cars. Went inside, up the stairs we were greeted & immediately asked if we had a reservation we said no & they looked at us like we had three heads. They told us it would be at least a half an hour, we said ok & waited at the bar. The bar is in the middle of the restaurant set along the back wall makes the general area tight & there is nowhere sit & wait. Had a Margarita rocks & Corona. The Margarita was $10.00 & it was only in a 10-ounce glass. Not even in New York have we ever paid $10.00 for a Margarita on the rocks.Seated us with in 15 to 20 min just to the right of the bar. They briought chips & salsa to the table & ask would like fresh guacamole. BE CAREFUL-They ask before you read a menu; check the prices before you order. We knew there was a charge, they make it tableside, but $13.00 for guacamole. We were annoyed they don?t tell you the price. The entree prices high, i.e. steak is $32.00 (not Morton?s) shrimp is around $25.00. I had tacos, which I do love, but was a little disappointed there was green bell peppers in the beef otherwise my meal was quite good. We asked for sour cream and they charged us 2.50 for a tablepoon worth (unnecessary). He had the Super Burrito, which he said was the best ever had & we have been to Mexico several times. Supposed to get rice & beans, never received them, by the time the waiter came over; we finished our meal.Decided to have dessert, my husband was still hungry we had triple layer chocolate cake, it was just ok & Sopapillas, they only give four pieces. I had them was in Mexico & I got so many there was a pile with syrup & powdered sugar. At Pampano & Maya, you get a plate full & our bill at Pampano was $75.00. 2 cappuccinos clearly from a machine & awful. The bill was $89.00 FOR MEXICAN FOOD;$102.00 with tip. WE WOULD NOT GO BACK, we don?t even pay that much in the village & the food is twice as good. Pros: Fun Atmosphere, Valet parking Cons: Overpriced charged for every little thing, Service lacking, they need to re-evaluate there restaurant.
